First look at the respect showered on this KCN Banner film ‘Babruvahana’ – multi crore Kannada cinema of last son of Dr Rajakumar ‘Chakravyuha’ has deferred release by one week as April 22 – 2 days before the birth anniversary of Dr Raj – ever green Kannada cinema made with excellence by Hunsur Krishnamurthy 39 years ago is hitting silver screen.


On Tuesday afternoon at Sri Renukamba Digital theatre the newly upgraded ‘Babruvahana’ with 7.1 sound technology and new instrumentation plus effects was screened. This was the dream of our father KCN Gowda remembered KCN Mohan second son of the emperor of quality films. In fact the production department work for ‘Babruvahana’ was done by KCN Chandrasekhar in those days – that is what the assistant director of this film HR Bhargava remembered after screening of the film.


For this new upgrade in techniques for ‘Babruvaahana’ Rs.60 lakhs was spent. The film was made in Rs.35 lakhs budget remembered Bhargava. In 60 plus theatres the film is releasing in Karnataka.

It has been three years dream of Madhusudhan and his friends of Digi Tech to bring it to this quality. It was Madhusoodhan who asked KCN Gowda to give ‘Babruvahana’ to add further techniques to it. They are the hardcore fans of Dr Rajakumar is also one of the reason to take up this task. We have been able to get this ‘Adrushta’ says Madhusoodhan.


Dr B Sarojadevi present at the screening of the film went on a flash back. We had no bottles to drink water. No technology. To take the shelter we used to come below the chariot. It very difficult days best was done by Hunsur Krishnamurthy. There are no words to explain ability of Dr Rajakumar.

Dr BS also expressed her recent day’s feel of remaining very divine. I remain cool without any distraction. That is giving me a good feel. It is all the move of the god she firmly believes. Dr BS appreciated the divine thoughts of KCN Gowdru, Dr Raj and ability of Hunsur Krishnamurthy.

The prominent person of that time 50 films director HR Bhargava stated that he knew inch by inch of this film as he worked as assistant to Hunsurji. It was absolute hard work and sincerity. Firstly the product is good, the songs are brilliant, and photography is superb. Acting no need to say at all! Bhargava recalled one of the situations of shooting in which how Dr Raj prepared for Babruvahana role first. Bhargava contribution to Babruvahana is also something great.
